You get paid to upload and share content. The content you upload must be legal of course.
Uploading.com pays from $1 to $20 per 1000 downloads. The bigger the file the more they pay. If you upload a file that is 250 MB or more you will make a minimum of $5 per 1000 downloads.

Getting Started
After you have signed up as a partner you can get started. There is no waiting period.
After reading through their Terms & Conditions I was not sure if uploading adult content was allowed. Adult content is the easiest to get people to download and making files of 250+ MB is no problem.
After writing back and forth with them a few times it seems the do allow adult content as long as it’s clean porn that would not be considered offensive.
So for my test I uploaded some adult content and started sharing the links on forums.
There are 1000′s of forums for you to share you links on, but there are also a lot of them that do not allow links from uploading companies that pay their users. My recommendation is to search for forums on google, sign up and start sharing. You will soon learn which allows it and which does not. This will of course mean some extra work in the beginning, because some of the links you share will get deleted.
About half the forums where I shared my links ended up deleting them because uploading.com links was not allowed.

The result
I uploaded 3 files and shared them on 4 different forums. I checked back after a couple of weeks to see how much it had made. The result was not as impressive as I had hoped. $7 was my earnings.
This was from doing about 45 minutes work. This includes finding forums. If you find a lot of forums there should be a much higher profit. The trick is to find forums where people are really interested in something you can share with them.

The verdict
All in all I would recommend you to try it out. You have nothing to loose. It is free to sign up and it only takes about 10 minutes before you are ready to start making money. Personally I would never make big money with something like this, but for some it could be the perfect fit.
